1922 Big 6 Studebaker Photos

These photos of my 1922 Big 6 Studebaker chassis show the extent of rust.

I have two chassis, one 1922 and one 1923. They are both EK series which ran from 1922 to 1924, and they are both the same. The chassis are bolted together one on top of the other for transportation. The 1922 is on top.

The 1922 is the original car I got and the chassis is in quite bad condition rust wise. I got the 1923 for parts but the chassis was worse than I thought. It's better than the 1922 though.

Only a handful of these big cars came to Australia where I live, so chances are the best chassis will have to be repaired.  If you're in Australia, and you have a suitable chassis you want to sell, (EK series, 1922-1924 Big 6 Studebaker) please email me, wsnewson@yahoo.com.au

The chassis were bolted together for transportation, and I've left them together for storage. The 1922 chassis is on top.
The 1923 chassis has everything still mounted to it, front and rear suspension, engine, gearbox, steering, etc

These photos show the rust damage. There is a lot of pitting, some of it deepish on the 1923 chassis, and very deep on the 1922 chassis.

Looking at the 1923 LH side rail again, there is pitting on the top of the rail between the two running-board supports.
